WNC opens new plant in Juarez
Wistron NeWeb Corporation (WNC) commenced operations at a new manufacturing facility in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, following an investment of approximately US40 million.

Established in 1996, the Taiwanese communications technology firm has garnered acclaim for its pioneering work in developing advanced solutions for broadband, mobile, multimedia, and Internet of Things (IoT) products.
Wistron is pleased to announce that the inauguration of the new plant represents a significant milestone in its history of innovation and global expansion. The establishment of the industrial facility in Ciudad Juarez signifies its first production operations outside of Asia.
The newly established plant is situated at 7151 Rosa María y Fuentes Street, within the Las Fuentes industrial park. The inauguration event was attended by dignitaries from the municipality of Juárez, the Chihuahua State Government, and delegates from prominent business and industrial associations in Juárez, El Paso, and New Mexico.
During the inaugural ceremony, it was underscored that the decision to expand to Ciudad Juarez was a reflection of the city's pivotal role in the Mexican manufacturing sector, coupled with its highly proficient logistics personnel.
The ceremony was graced by the esteemed presence of Jeffrey Gau, President and CEO of WNC; Armando Cheng, General Director of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Mexico; Fernando Alba, Undersecretary of Mining, Industry, and Energy at the Ministry of Innovation and Economic Development (SIDE); Hector Ortiz Orpinel, Secretary of the City Council of Ciudad Juarez; Sergio Colin, President of INDEX Juarez; and Arch Chen, distinguished representative of the Taiwan Chamber of Commerce.
